Corona Municipal Airport Flood Information Page
NOTE: This page and the information contained here is not a replacement for timely information from the Army Corps of Engineers, the City of Corona and/or the Corona Airport Management and staff.
The Corona Airport Manager reminds all pilots and businesses to ensure that the contact information maintained by
their Master Lease Holder is current. In addition, aircraft and equipment should be kept ready for evacuation should
the airport experience flooding. The diagram below (North is at top) shows some of the airport elevations. The
approach end of runway 7 is approximately 513 feet above sea level, while the approach end of runway 25 sits at 533
feet above sea level. During the flooding in early 2004 water was above 520 feet, causing flooding to nearly 2/3s of
the property. Everyone at Corona Municipal Airport is encouraged to be prepared should flooding occur. Anyone with questions or concerns is encouraged to contact their Master Lease Holder or the Airport Manager.
By now all Corona Airport people should all know that flooding is a very real possibility. In the event of possible
flooding, please ensure that you can move all items out of your hangar within a short period of time. Airport
Management recommends moving all non essential items out of hangars and off of the airport premises during the
months of October through January.
Helpful tips:
Make sure that your Master Lease Holder has your correct phone number(s).
Do not perform annuals at Corona during this time period, if at all possible.
Have a back-up plan to move your hangar items off the airport if you are out of the area.
Do not leave any hazardous material in your hangar, and clean up oil or fuel spills immediately (this should be standard practice -- all of the time).
If your aircraft is not airworthy, please place it on a trailer to facilitate removal off the airport to your own back-up storage facility.
Listen to weather reports and plan ahead.
Make arrangements with a back-up pilot to fly your aircraft off the field if necessary.
(This is not an all inclusive list of items but please remember that Safety is First!)

Army Corps Of Engineers (ACoE) sites......
The following links are to the Army Corps of Engineers. Regrettably, the way their web-page is built, you will need to
navigate through the ACoE gateway web-page. A "direct-link" to the Prado Dam info is not possible. "Page not found"
errors may be an indicator that their web-page is currently too busy. The 12-hour Line-Graph is a great resource. Be
sure to read and "input" your request per their 3-step instructions, or you will get an error page.

While the above links work each and every time...the following 1-click was contributed by BBS member "Super Viking" and sure is a lot handier (Thank You!). However, time will tell if it's reliable : Direct link to Prado Water Level :
