We have a new Bulletin Board !! -- But please read these instructions first...

1. Please do not use "proper" names anywhere
(i.e. don't post "Fred Flintstone" is building an airplane.... Just say "Fred is...")
(i.e. don't register using your name "Fred Flintstone", use something non-descript like "FFpilot"...)

2. Please do not use N-numbers anywhere that can be read (N-number as your password is OK though)
(i.e. don't post "N1234X is undergoing refurbishment".... Just say "Fred's 172 is...")
(i.e. don't register using your N-number "N1234X", use something less-defining like "34Xpilot"...)

3. Please do not post private information anywhere
(i.e. don't post private phone numbers and addresses.)

4. When you view the BBS without CONTRIBUTING, it doesn't help your friends who might be at work, taking an on-line mini-vacation from the stress. Please SAY something NEW, or at least leave a COMMENT when you visit the board. If you CONTRIBUTE, then friends away on vacation can keep up on our happenings. And, of course, if you're at work or on vacation, your RESPONSES are fun too !!

From WikiPedia.org :
A bulletin board (or notice board in British English) is a place where people can leave public messages, for
example, to advertise things to buy or sell, announce events, or provide information. Bulletin boards are often made
of a material such as cork to facilitate addition and removal of messages or it can be placed on the computer so
people can leave and erase messages for other people to read and see.

Some insight on using the CPA Bulletin Board :
1. Please REGISTER and CONTRIBUTE. This communication won't survive unless we all contribute occasionally. Just consider -- what if this communication had been available during the Airport Flood. Wouldn't it have been nice to read the views of the people who had been at the airport in those early hours and days.

2. This website is for PRIVATE use. That means there's no way someone will be selling your email name to
spammers. Also, getting a "computer virus" from this site is so improbable, I will eat bugs if you do.

3. It is not important where or what you contribute. If it's in the wrong place, we can move it. If it's "regrettable"
when you wake up tomorrow, -YOU- can erase it any time.

4. The BBS is reviewed occasionally by a Moderator. If deemed unsavory, a post will be suspended. If a 2nd
moderator agrees with the 1st, then the post will be deleted. If someone becomes a pest, he will be banned. But if
you happen to notice an unsavory post before the Moderator sees it, please feel free to drop an email to any CPA
officer.

5. You can NOT explode your computer, and you won't explode the BBS if you mess up. The only way to
practice is type-erase-and-delete. If something doesn't work, please try to delete your boo-boo. But if that doesn't
work, then don't worry...the Moderator will see the problem and either fix it, or delete it for you.

6. Yes, you can post pictures with your text-message. Just keep in mind there's a 120kb limit on size. This is about
2/3 of most viewing screens. However, please note...you'll probably need to re-size your pictures downward to make them "efficient" for posting here.

7. Yes, you can have an "AVITAR". That's the little picture that readers see under your name when reading your
post. Hint -- since the pic is so small, it shouldn't try to convey any detail.

8. There is a CALENDAR function. One should try to avoid "proper names" since you don't know who is reading this BBS. Sometimes, it can't be avoided. Birthdays are welcome !

9. The BBS can be fun sometimes, and serious sometimes.

10. Regular contributions are appreciated by all.

11. Please note : The largest pic you can upload is about 120k, which would be about 640 x 480 pixels. And you're only allowed a total of about 128k per post. For reference, a typical 640 x 480 color pic is about 80kb, but some are as large as 110kb. Larger pics will need "resized" before they will post.

12. Please note : If you want a cute little "avatar" under your screen name, it needs to be about 100 x 100 pixels.

13. It's easy to forget your "password", and this isn't really a super-secure-banking website. So, we recommend you use your N-number (like "N1234X" ) so it's easy to remember.
