Corona Pilot's Association
What is the Corona Pilot's Association? CPA is a 501(c)3, non profit association, dedicated to preserving and improving the Corona Municipal Airport, as well as the hobby of General Aviation. Members of CPA work to inform the public about General Aviation and to grow interest for this exciting and rewarding pass time with the young and the experienced. Corona Pilot's Association is open to pilots and non-pilots and has members from all over Southern California. Our members fly all types of aircraft, from Vintage Cessnas, Mooneys, Stearmans, Wacos and Pipers to the latest technology, modern, high performance machines and some have even built their own "experimental" aircraft. With a wide range of everything from student pilots to seasoned veterans, the Corona Pilot's Association offers a
vast pool of people to gather the latest tips on everything from maintenance to safe flying.

Corona Airport sits on a stormwater flood plain behind the Prado Dam. In January/February 2005, sudden rains raised the level of the water to mid-field.
In the flood, all of the airport businesses lost tools, equipment, and fixtures. Many businesses were busy saving airplanes from the rising water, rather than moving their own stuff.
